But it doesn’t always have to be something materialistic. Recognizing and rewarding good work is also a great way to motivate employees. Just make sure that your rewards are fair and consistent.

Another way to keep employees motivated is to provide them with challenges. People often work harder when they feel like they’re being challenged and pushed outside of their comfort zone.

So don’t be afraid to give your team members new tasks or assignments that stretch their abilities.

Communicating Effectively To Maximize Productivity

  1. I totally agree with all of these points, Lisa. Just general boosting of morale can help with productivity too. Also, in addition to rest breaks, it helps with productivity if people take time off each week and also take a vacation each year. Some people – maybe a lot of people – tend to work right through their vacations since it’s so easy now to stay connected digitally to everyone and everything back home while you’re away. It’s super important, though, to disconnect and just relax and recharge. You may not get any work done on vacation, but you’ll get a lot more accomplished after vacation.

    1. Thank you Sabina. Yes, morale plays a role as well in productivity! A big role actually. I used to work where at a place where morale was very low and it made a huge difference. Thanks for the input on this one Sabina. Have a great day!
